7am – Meeting at Ampol Midvale, Great Eastern Highway

9:30am – Meet up with the South side convoy at The Corrigin Road House, travel together to Hyden.

11am – Meet at the oval carpark across from the Bush Bakehouse Café Hyden for a quick bite to eat and track briefing.

7am – Meeting at the Lyons Lookout, Welshpool Road east, just after Crystal Brooke Road

9:30am – Meet up with the North side convoy at The Corrigin Road House, travel together to Hyden.

11am – Meet at the oval carpark across from the Bush Bakehouse Café Hyden for a quick bite to eat and track briefing.

On the track and camping

Friday 9 October

11:45am – Track commencement

We will try to push on to Mount Holland (sunset club photo at the summit) for the first nights camping, depending on conditions it could be a long day so it may transpire that a suitable bush camp is chosen if light and fatigue become an issue.

Saturday 10 October

7:30/8am - Break camp

This will be a slower day we will try take in some of the old Goldfields prospecting camps (if we can find them), Gnamma holes and if time permits Burra rock.

Camping will be at Victoria Rock.

Sunday 11 October

730/8am – Break camp

If the group is keen we will stop at Gnarlbine Rock before heading onto Coolgardie for roughly 11am.

Conditions will play a part in the above itinerary so this is a rough guide, however it may change when we get out on the trail.

Please note that 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) is used in the area of the Holland Track and there are some nightmare stories online of dogs accidentally eating baits which has fatal consequences so dogs are NOT recommended but it is of course your choice. I took my little old Jack Russel with me last time, and she remained on a lead every time I got out the vehicle however she is 18 so her inquisitiveness is non-existent.
